Alexis M. Smith

Ken Kesey Award for Fiction finalist, Barnes & Noble Discover, World Book Night 2013 selection

Alexis M. Smith was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. Her debut novel, Glaciers, was a finalist for the Ken Kesey Award for Fiction, and was both a Barnes & Noble Discover and a World Book Night 2013 selection. Houghton Mifflin Harcourt will publish her second novel, Marrow Island, in 2016. Alexis attended Mount Holyoke College and Portland State University, and holds an MFA from Goddard College. Her interests include trail running, beach combing, bird watching, and jam making. She is 2015 Oregon Arts Commission Fellow.
