Pulitzer Nominee, PNBA Awards, Oregon Book Award

Craig Lesley grew up in Eastern Oregon. He has published four novels, a memoir, 27 short stories. In addition, he has edited two short story collections. Winterkill won “Best Novel” from the Western Writers of America and a Pacific Northwest Booksellers’ Award. The Sky Fisherman and Talking Leaves also won PNBA awards. Storm Riders won the Oregon Book Award. Lesley has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, RACC, Bread Loaf, two National Endowment for the Arts awards and the Oregon Coast Literary Award for Best Novel about small town Oregon. After retiring from Senior Writer in Residence at Portland State U., he teaches in the low-residency Master of Fine Arts program at Pacific University.
